On that note: "See first that the design is wise and just: that ascertained, pursue it resolutely; do not for one repulse forego the purpose that you resolved to effect."

Bonus points (towards nothing) to anyone who knows who said that (without searching the Internet).

There are some dissenters that believe that the millennium really started on 2001, but I prefer thinking about it starting on 2000. ;)

I can't believe a decade of it is already over. If time goes by so fast, then the world is really young in a sense, because 100 years ago we had very few cars, no travel by plane, many less places had electricity... if things could change that much over the last 100, which is really just a bit more than a person's lifetime, then imagine the next 100?

The decade did fly by. Just the other day the DJ on the radio referred to a selection of hits as "Back-track 90's" -- the WHAT?

Hopefully, we'll have just as much progress over this century as the last. (Of course, what revelations will come about is nearly unfathomable to imagine.) I wonder if we could figure out how to do it with all positives? I really like the plus symbol. ;)

Tomorrow. What a profound concept. It's funny how they clump together and before you know it, a decade has gone. I still remember the corny PJs my youngest son wore on New Year's Eve in 1999 with 2000 printed across the bottom. (He was born in January of '99.)

He'll turn 12 in January of 2011. Unbelievable.

Thanks for including me here Jessica. All the best to you in 2011!
